Gutters & leaders perform a very important function for your home. They move a tremendous amount of water from your roof and away from your home's foundation. Too much water around your home's foundation could cause basement flooding, foundation problems, staining to the exterior of your home, and damage to your landscaping.
Blake Windows, Siding & Roofing only installs custom made seamless aluminum gutters & leaders. The gutters are extruded at your home to the exact lengths that are needed. You will also have a choice of 15 colors to choose from.
We never use the "spike and ferrule" (nails) method of attaching the gutters to your fascia boards. This method can cause your gutters to pull away from your house and cause water to hit the sides of your home and perhaps undermine your foundation.
We only use the "hidden hanger" method of attaching the gutters to the fascia boards. The hidden hanger hooks to the front of the gutter and slides over the back of the gutter and is screwed to the fascia board. A screw is always stronger than a nail (spike). The seamless gutters with hidden hangers also look much nicer on your home.
Sometimes we can make recommendations to change the location of your leaders in order to minimize water accumulation, water that might enter into basement foundation or water puddling, which might freeze in the wintertime. We will listen to the concerns about your leaders or your gutter system in general.
We install 5" and 6" gutters.
